Christian Commando
Every so often I get grumpy about the Catholic Church. This NOT because I'm a Jew and 'thus' think that ALL Christians are bad... It's because I live in Boston, home of the mess that Catholic Church has produced and because I've had dealings with people like the Christian Commando.
Now I'd use CC's real name- but to be honest I've forgotten it, I just remember what a stup he was. And that my co workers agreed that Christian Commando was a good nick name for him. He was painfully Catholic, going so far as to force his fiancee to take communion so that he could married in a Catholic church. The commando part comes from the fact that he had served in the army- Boo Ya! He was very proud of that and one of the stories he subjected me to- was the fact that he thought Patton got a raw deal for beating up a soldier who was scared to fight. CC then went on to say how much faster We'd've won WWII if the Patagonia had not disciplined Patton.
Now the sad fact was that this store was a small store so I'd often have to listen to his 'stories' and they would usual end up with 'how good the military is..' or religion. He once told me that the pope sat on his magical POPE CHAIR where he speaks with like the voice of God or somesuch and decreed that 'yes the Jews are God's chosen people BUT when they accept Jesus they will be DOUBLY chosen'. Needless to say, he wasn't all that popular with me or the rest of the staff.
However what really mad me see red was when he told me that right NOW we suffer from overpopulation, and imagine how much worse things would be if not for World War II. This floored me. I mean forget for a moment the '6 million dead' that Jews weep for, according to a website another 5 million of 'undesirables' were also killed. So yeah Jews account for more then 1/2 but there were also Gypsies( which there were a lot less of), homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, and others who Hitler and company disliked in the Nazi death camps. So we're up to 11 million and we're STILL not counting the brave Russians, English or soldiers that Patton sent into battle to fight the Nazis. This, to me, came just shy of him standing up and saying he was pro genocide.
Which btw, he did the day before he was fired. Yeah he told a girl that every so often a genocide is needed. That there are too many people on the Earth, and so every so often a mass die off is needed. Now I thought of this, and thought 'ya know, maybe instead of killing 11 million people to depopulate the world... he could just convince HIS male relatives to use a condom every now and then and not have 8 kids.' I mean if he's worried about overpopulation, there are MUCH better ways of dealing with things then deciding that if I want to have kids- I have to deny someone else future generations.
Yes, the Christian Commando was fired. Not for telling a female that he was pro-genocide, but for STEALING. When I heard this, my first reaction was to chuckle and point out to co worker who mentioned that CC was pro genocide that, ya know if he was SO religious he should've known that 'thou shalt not steal' was in the ten commandments. I was then told, with glee as NOBODY liked the Christian Commando, the reason for his firing. The company's Loss Prevention guy had come and had a 'talk' with CC. They suspected him of stealing as we were 'missing' highly portable locked up items( like laser pointers and lighters), so they wanted to talk to him. CC cracked under pressure, and even though Loss Prevention had nothing on him, he sung like a canary. Let me repeat, the guy who was in the ARMY and pro discipline, sang like a canary when questioned by some civilian from Loss Prevention.
The women I worked with wanted to call his soon to be wife and tell her what scum he was. They wanted a sorta payback and I didn't blame them. I had been forced to listen to this guy talk up his religion and tell me how GREAT it was and yet here he was being amoral and calling for the death of NON Christians so that his family could 'be fruitful and multiply'.
So I want you to know that I try judge everyone on a person by person basis when I meet with them or talk to them HOWEVER as a group I sometimes think Catholics are wanting. I don't mean to offend, I just sometimes find them offensive.
