Today
So as I watched Countdown tonight, I felt I should say something on my blog. So here it is:
Nine- Eleven aka September the 11th, is just a day. Like December 7th, bad stuff happened on this day BUT in historical context- there ended up being more bad stuff that has happened.
Yes- the sneak attack by the Japanese on the United States was bad- but it palled upon learning what the Japanese and Germans were doing in their death camps.
So yes, the attack and the destruction of the two towers was bad; but what I find WORSE is it has been 2185 days since W. promised to get Bin Laden DEAD or ALIVE… and Bin Laden is safe enough that he has made his own 9/11 speech.
I’m putting a link for the $ amounts spent on the war… I’m putting this link because it changes EVERY minute.
Because I can't properly embed it- here is a link to current american casualties in The War Against Terror; which currently exceddes the amount that were killed on this date by the terrorists. Oh and it also has the amount of WOUNDED... ya know the people who are NOT getting help at Walter Reed.
And I have a link on the side of my blog to http://www.iraqbodycount.org/ which currently lists. It should be noted that iraqbodycount is considered a lowball number… Oh and it’s still 20x more then the US lost on that fateful day… And I would imagine that most of the Iraqi deaths have also been ‘civilians’.
W. has lied to us on a regular basis about 9/11- getting America to attack another country because HE wanted us to attack them…
To me the tragedy of today is not the deaths of the 3,000+ people who died- but that the mastermind who plotted it, is still free and our leaders have used the attack on our nation to take away our rights and freedoms AND take away the rights, freedoms and lives of Iraqis who have done the U.S. NO HARM.
I blame W. more then I blame Bin Laden for what has happened to our country. Though I guess the irony( if there is any) is that Bin Laden MUST be happy he found his perfect foil in W.; as W. could NOT be a better opponent for Bin Laden if he was a double agent actually taking orders from Bin Laden.
