Borat
Ok... was too tired today. Pushed myself at the gym and got new sheets... which even though they have a high thread count(350) are scratchy. should've done laundry but instead was brain dead( as usual), tired and read/played wesnoth and watched Borat.
Or part of Borat. I got past the running of the Jews, past Borat going to a Jewish Bed and Breakfast but I slammed on the brakes when he asked a gun dealer:
What is the best gun to defend from a Jew.
Gun Dealer( wearing a 10 gallon hat): I would recommend a 9mm or a 45.
At that point I had to skip to the end with Pamala Anderson as I just couldn't watch this any more. I mean I ASSUME that the gun dealer was a real person... and that wasn't scripted. I could be wrong... perhaps the whole thing was scripted and he pulled a double wammy... but I really think that the Gun Dealer ACTUALLY responded to the question of what the best gun to defend from a Jew was... and that crossed a line of NOT F***ING FUNNY for me.
Forgot to do laundry because I SUCK. so will just try to sleep tonight and will write a note to myself to do my laundry tomorrow with both sets of sheets.

I agree that it isn';t funny in the sense that someone actually having that thought in their heads is just fucking wrong.
Of course, as Sasha Cohen (the guy playing/creating Borat) IS a Jew, I always take his playing with anti-semitism as a spotlight on just how fucked up and backwards we really still are, regardless of what we want to tell ourselves (and you should go back and watch the motorhome scene with the frat guys--it's the best part of the movie when you loook back on how they sued him for representing them as ignorant mysoginists).
Oddly, I attended an academic symposium last night where someone gave a talk on the rhetoric of peace activism that was really just a very poorly veiled anti-semitic, pro-palestinian rant and was very disappointed, again, at the consensus among "liberal" universities to put thir noses in business they don't really understand
