DvDs to watch

I'm gonna cross pollinate with Evan... Again. ;-) He mentioned that he was a bit of a snob in http://devanpeterson.blogspot.com/2004/10/cultural-snobbery.html#comments and my reply I realize is opposite- that I'm not nearly the snob he is. ;-) When someone says they haven't seen a movie, I try to get them to see it. When they tell me that they didn't know about something, I try to inform. Like when a co worker mentioned she was planning to see Passion of the Christ I suggested that, so long as she doesn't want to go to Catholic Hell, that she should see Last Temptation of Christ instead. She asked me about my warning about Last Temptation, and I told her that the POPE had come out against Temptation because it deals with the love of Jesus and Mary. I then could not believe that I had to explain to her that I didn't mean Mother Mary but Mary Maglidene(sp?)- because she didn't know about Mary M. I did roll my eyes explaining to her Christian mythology, but I felt good because I was suggesting that she see all sides to the issue.

Any way I posted to him that I wanted to make a list of the top 5 movies I HAVE NOT seen yet and came up with this list:
1) Gone with the Wind.
2) One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
3) Tom Jones( which I *thought* I bought but know I haven't seen)
4) Reservoir Dogs
5) Brazil

In the 1/2 hour or so since posting that- I started going thru my dvds... Which is very dangerous now that I'm unemployed.... As I'm NOW creating a pile of 'movies I want to see soon' and while I didn't find Tom Jones(YET...) I did find Brazil.

And I realized I, a wannabe librarian, haven't cataloged all my movies; hence my uncertainty if I have or don't have Tom Jones. So I'm doing that now too... wasting time I should be using to find a job on DVD stuff.

I DO suggest to these people that they then should see/read/whetver the item in question, I just tend to vocalize some disdain while doing it.

I've only seen two of your top five movies to see that you have not yet seen. Of the two, I prefer Reservoir Dogs. The book for Cuckoo is better than the film.

Top 5 movies to see that I haven't seen:
    1. Goodfellas
    2. Raging Bull
    3. the Untouchables
    4. Blazing Saddles
    5. Heaven and Earth

I'm trying to wrap my mind around the possible implications of cyber-cross pollinization...
