Lost; Land of
So I've been sorta trying to watch Lost the past two Wednesday- based on suggestions by evan . I forgot why it didn't hold my complete attention last week but this week it had to compete with Leisure Suit Larry, which came out yesterday.
I really liked Will and Holly( the brother and sister), I don't THINK the bad 'creature' will be a Sleestack( as I think a polar bear could beat one of them) but I really do hope there are Sleestacks on the island... or at least the Civil War Vet with the cannon( hey they heard a 15 year old message on the island why not the Civil War Vet?).
However I don't think it's gonna get another shot from me. I just find it too predictable... and I'm not sure if it's my general 'been there, done that' or just I have less patience then Evan. Yes I liked that the woman was the prisoner of the marshal/ fed. BUT I don't like it that in this episode that she was painted as sympathetic- like the fed was more an asshole then him ( oh look she saved the old man from a burning car and COULD'VE gotten away if she didn't). I MUCH would've preferred her to be EVIL. Which I don't think she will be, it's more likely that she's ' a criminal with a heart of gold' who 'was arrest for doing what was MORALLY right'.
And of course we have the cute doctor falling in love with her. ya know, I really would've preferred they made the fat guy the doctor and the 'ruggedly good looking' guy the mentally handicapped, which I'm pretty sure the fat guy is.
Likewise, I sorta hate the 'foreign people treat their women like crap' I would've much preferred if they had a intolerant southern couple then the Asians. Yes, I'm happy they have 'tourists who don't speak the language' but considering they were visiting Aussie Land, it would be nice if one of them spoke a bit of broken English.
Yeah I think it's better then some of the other crap on but still don't think it's GOOD. However I am looking forward to Sunday's Desperate Housewives

See, I'm betting the Korean couple can speak English, and just aren't.
They started the "sympathetic criminal" crap for Kate last episode during her airplane flashback...I'm hoping it's all just crap, as I was positive that anything she told Jack post-Fed's death would be a lie to paint herself prettier.
Why do you think Hurley's mentally handicapped? He seems a lot like my 300plus pound friend Marc. I'd love some ammo to call him mental...
As for my patience with bad tv...see my post on my theory of television complacency.
Looking forward to Desperate Housewives as well.
