Chipper...
I've got a nice chipper buzz on today....
See I had an interview Monday for a Corporate Librarian position. While I don't think this would be the COOLEST job for me; it would be beat retail in $ and general happiness- as I'd be working in my 'field' and I wouldn't have to deal with the public. I thought the interview went well. I was able to field all of the questions the interviewer asked and I made sure to show that I had 'done my homework' and had gone to their corporate website. I also made sure to mention my friend's name who works for the company. While he's never had a good thing to say about the company, he's been there for like 15 years and thus has better job security then most of the people I know in retail.
The other interview will be on Wednesday, at Best Buy. While it is at retail store, a husband of a friend works there and he pretty much likes it. I think if I have to work retail, Best Buy is as good as any place to work. They have a bunch of stores; so chance of transfer if I don’t like the store I’m hired at… And their discount is VERY deep( wholesale price +5%).
So all in all, I think I’m actually HOPEFUL today that good things are coming down the pipe.
Which is of course to say, I most likely have a better chance at the Best Buy job then the librarian job and not sure if I even have even odds for that- but I HOPE that within a week or two I will have a second interview at one of the two jobs… and perhaps get one.
