Clone High
Tonight on a very special episode of Clone High....
That's like the beginning of EVERY episode of Clone High. It was a short lived animated series on MtV... The premise was that an evil cabal had cloned all of history's finest and all these clones were teenagers going to high school together. The main clones... I mean characters are Cleopatra- the class slut; Abe Lincoln- who wants to date Cleo, JFK who bangs Cleo and most girls, Joan of Arc- who's in love with Abe, and Gandi- Abe's best friend and party animal... Oh and in one 'very special episode' we learn that Gandi has ADD.
Yeah, each episode is 'very special' with a lesson for the kids- ranging from sleep, don't litter and the holiday special.
Guest voices include Jack Black, Marilyn Manson, Tom Green, Ashley Parker Angel, Luke Perry, Mandy Moore, John Stamos and perhaps others.
Actually I gotta admit one of the joys of Clone High (for me) is that Joan of Arc sounds EXACTLY like She-go( voiced by same woman) and it's just sorta weird.
I got the dvds from Amazon.ca as it’s currently being played on The Detour in Canada [Friday at 10:30 pm for my Canadian readers]. I first got ‘Season One’ of Clone High [there’s only one season] because I felt that perhaps if Clone High did well for The Detour perhaps they’ll think of getting Daria and then releasing Daria on DVD. I still hope for that BUT I really feel my money was well spent on Clone High as it is just DARN funny. I do wish there was a Season Two to Clone High but like many shows I love, I’m really just happy it made it to TV and then from TV to DVD.
I recommend highly Clone High. I suggest that Canadian readers check it out on The Detour and my American readers buy it sooner rather then later, as I know the American dollar is going to continue to weaken and the Canadian dollar is going to be worth more and more( esp. as they have OIL up there according to Adj.)
And each episode( save I think for the last) ended with Next week on a very special episode of Clone High….
