Everyone's a winner NOT
Ok since I blogged about the Jedi spoon in my cereal... I thought I should blog about my dislike of Burger Thing's Sith tie in.
They have this scratch ticket on their drinks(large and x-large) and fries( one on large, 2 on XL). In their commercials they SAY that EVERY ticket's a winner. They LIE .
Or at least bend the truth. For you see while EVERY ticket has a winning spot, there are actually TWO spots. So you get this ticket- which has a winning spot and a LOSING spot. Yeah they don't mention that in the ads. Therefore the truth of it is you have a 50-50 chance of winning not 100 as the "every ticket is a winner" implies.
And it gets worse. There's a ticket out there with You win a million- aka $50k a year for 20 years. Now imagine you scratch off the losing spot first...
Burger Thing gets to SAY they're giving away a million dollars but they could get off the hook if people scratch off the losing spot.
And yes I upsized a meal so I could get TWO scratch tickets... just to see what I would get. First one was a free frosty... The other I did win but since it just was burgers, which I don't eat, I scratched the other spot and found the other spot was a loser... and that's how I figured out the lie. I'm not sure if the characters( each ticket has a pic of a Sith character) can tip which spot to check- ie do all of the Anakin pieces have the prize on the top or bottom... but it would take too many purchases to check that out.
