It continues...

I made a big mistake yesterday.

I told my father and his current wife what happened at the store. I shouldn’t have done that. I should’ve just told them simply that I was now full time.

I in fact started with I’m full time but then told them the story.

Dumbass, I am.

See these two always agree with management. Management is always right and trumps me.
She told me that she had no problem with the company giving out my info and writing me up for calling in. Even after I told her it was against company policy.

He told me “not to rock the boat” and “play nice with management”. I countered that I got my full time status by being a whistle blower and talking to HR. He then went on to say I should now play make up so that I can move up in the company. I told him the company was full of dinks.

She also mentioned how SHE was a manager of retail store, which was well over 15 years ago.
He also mentioned that while he was management- he either didn’t follow rules or when he was president

I thanked him for his support and then hung up on him.

He called back. I knew it was my dad due to caller id( which I’m using more these days). I let him apologize, as was usual.
I pointed out that he always takes management side over mine… He retorted that I should see both sides. I countered this usual argument by pointing out that I rarely feel that he takes my side.

The kicker came when I got an email from her complaining on what a brat I was and ended asking me “what have you done for him [your dad] lately”.

Because I’m tired due to lack of sleep and stress, I countered with “I put up with you” and pointed out that the only reason I talk to her was because of him, and that if she ends up becoming ex wife number 3, I will have as little to do with her as I do with wife #2( whom I named).

I shouldn’t have called them, I shouldn’t have told them the whole story… and if I lose my trip to Amsterdam because I mouthed off to her- I have no one to blame but myself( and maybe my dad’s current wife a little ;-) )
