Aftermath...

I was too tired and stuff to blog yesterday about the 5 year anniversary of what yesterday has become. I’m still tired and not feeling well in any sense of the word yet I feel the need to blog. I think I’ve mentioned that I was at home that day, off from work, and saw the second plane go into the towers. How I tried to find out where all my family was- as they live in New York City( my sister had started work a few days before blocks from the towers) and my father often travels( this was before I knew the planes came from Boston).
All my family was fine…. But I still remember visiting NYC less then a month after- there still being a plume of smoke rising from where the towers were… and seeing all the posters of the “missing”…. And least I forget my father wishing that I had joined the military for he was disappointed in all of us (never mind that he never served in ‘Nam…) I also remember the trucks endlessly taking the ‘remains’ of the Towers away from Manhattan and to a landfill. I remember talking to people who lived near the towers, who were staying at friends due to the smoke… which while fire firefighters were told it was safe… it wasn’t.

I do not feel safer now then I did five years ago (the day after)… In fact I feel less safe now then I did a year ago after Hurricane Katritia. I know that W. doesn’t care about poor people (black or white). I know that when the talking heads say that we’re SAFE but NOT SAFE; what they mean is we’re safe enough to thank W. for protecting us… but not safe enough to vote for democrats.
I know that when W. quotes Bin Laden, the two of them are feeding off each other. W. has shown Muslims that America hates them, that we don’t care how many innocent Iraqis we kill just to get our way (currently at least 41,860 almost 14 times those who died on September 11, 2001).
I feel that I must all mention the amount of Americans dead due to the war… These are men and women who promised to protect us… And instead of protecting America, they are securing Oil for Haliburton- 2,880 Americans have died… and for what? Iraqi freedom? The Iraqis aren’t free, because if they were- they’d be free to tell us to go f’ ourselves. Heck we're not free as the vice president keeps telling Dems go go F' themselves

I’m going to stop now before I get REALLY bitter and instead will put a video to Keith Olbermann’s commentary from last night. He says stuff a lot better then me.
