Parenting Philosophy
I keep forgetting to blog about this... but a recent Tx. law has reminded me about. My Governor, Mitt, recently appeared on a local Sunday political talk show. He was pressed about many of his views but one of the BIGGIES was about families.
He maintained that a child SHOULD be raised by a mom and a dad. He was very firm about this. Mitt said THAT was his his main problem with gay marriages, that all these kids will come from these will be mentally damaged or some such.
I think this is a load of bull****.
Likewise what I think is happening in Texas is BS. A 'study' said that foster care children in Ill. were 11X more likely to be raped by a homosexual care giver then by a hetro. Please read this report to realize how SOFT their math is. However what's really scary is that the repugnants are using this stupid report to justify NOT allowing gays to be foster parents in Texas.
Nobody wins because of this.
Not the kids who will remain unloved.
Not the gays who wish to share their love with others.
Not even the state, who maybe wouldn't have to pay as much to feed and shelter the kids.
Just the repugnants who would rather the kids die pure and chaste, then live a life where they MIGHT be tempted by 'sins of the flesh' and damn their immortal soul.
I really do hope there's a place in hell for these hypocrites.
(spellcheck wanted to change my misspelling of Govenor into souvenir- go figure.)
