Low Ego

Ok... I noticed on evan's blog that there was a post by a acquaintance of ours. It had a nice pic. and I was like- Hmm, I never saw HIS blog before. So I checked his profile.

He doesn't have a blog. I guess he created an account JUST to post to evan's blog.

The kicker is that HIS profile has been seen 'viewed' about 20x more then mine.

What the heck?

A couple of my friends(evan, and adj) have blogs on Live Journals and another 1 or 2 people I know have live journals. When I was told the reason that I'm not a part of Adj's 'friends' list there because MINE is a blogspot... hence evan's Naked Blue Jeans 1.5, I briefly thought of doing a live journal but decided not because I have a hard enough time deciding what goes here and what goes on GoodMorningAmerica and what goes on both or just on GMA- with another blog means keeping track of MORE stuff.
I also fear that the SECOND sites wouldn't mean more hits. Adj and others can find my thoughts here even if she don't link to this.
So I've thought of switching over to LiveJournal or just duping this- but that seems to be a good amount of effort, which means I'd be further depressed if it didn't net more feedback.

And that's the other reason I decided, sorta, not to do it. I have evan's blogspot thing bookmarked and respond to that... and it seems weird the couple of times I've looked in on his live journal and seen different replies to stuff I've responded to... and just think it's odd to have these two conversations which are really the same conversation with different people.

I don't want a counter here EVER because if I had one, I'd just obsess about hits here more. I shouldn't need hits here but it's nice to have ego strokes every once in a while.

(spell check: getting pissed that blog is NOT an accepted word by blogspot's spellchecker- but then again neither is blogspot ;-) )

my livejournal doesn't really take much time at all. I just have two explorer windows open at once, one to my blogger dashboard, my other to livejouranl. I copy/paste whatever I type in a blogspot blog onot the livejournal blog at the same time I'm posting. Original livejournal posts are so rare (read: I have only one I'm aware of) it doesn't pull me too much. You're right though, the duplication in commenting conversations gets to be complicated, especially if I respond to them. AND if you move to livejournal, I think Adj will stop reading your blogspot journal...I think she stopped mine, as she only responds on my livejournal now

But... but is she reading it NOW?

I mean I don't remember the last time she responded here... I just have proof of you and Carolyn being here, and I don't want to lose Carolyn, on the off chance that Adj will now read me if I'm on livejournal

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha I'm sorry, I 've just never seen anyone worried to "lose carolyn";-) no wuckahs, drew!! if you leave for diff climes, just holla-I have an lj, though I have since deleted most of it when I moved journals-I only keep it as quite a few friends are on lj and wanted to go 'friends only', so I had to get one to be able to read it (be friended)-I honestly check individual blogs way more than I ever glance at my flist, but either way, I believe I have the wherewithal to find you and harass you-and I don't know how blogger works, but they have mucha commnities on lj, if you join a few, you might very easily pick up your hits, if that helps;-D

    - carolyn <--look, she's still here!
